Most Popular Open Source or Free Client Software

While we have a number of Open Source and/or free software tools which we suggest to our clients, several packages are clearly favorites among them.

Ubuntu:

Far and above the most popular Operating System with our clients is Ubuntu Linux. Most of our client's end-users are quite pleased with the overall experience.

Firefox:

Firefox is the most popular Web Browser with our clients. The ability to have the same browser on multiple Operating Systems was a key selling point to our clients.

OpenOffice:

OpenOffice is our most popular productivity suite, mostly due to the fact that it is cross-platform.

Gimp:

Gimp is an excellent graphic package which provides quite a bit of functionality. It can be used from simple drawings to elaborate 3D effects and animations.

ClamAV:

ClamAV is our most popular AntiVirus solution. It has a proven track record and is cross-platform as well. We've had great success running it from Live Boot media to scan target systems.

VMWare:

VMWare is our most installed virtualization solution. Our clients like the fact that the VMWare player is free and offers a number of downloadable preconfigured virtual systems.
